Song of the month!

So, it's that time of the month again! Time to listen to one of Mirna's favorite songs at the current moment. So I have chosen an artist that I personally admire very much. I was on YouTube the other day and came across this very song which I could not stop listening to! It's a great song which I personally think explains me in great detail. I hope you all like it! The artist is "Beyonce" and the song is entitled "A Woman like me." Enjoy, i'm sure you'll love it! Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UijzEZ-qZwk&feature=related

Being Grateful

I realized something today. Not only was I was so stubborn but very selfish as well. I was watching a documentary on the issues concerning India these days. Particularly, the issue of "Poverty." So I was aware of the definition of this term and all the things that would follow it. Boy, was I wrong! The documentary I viewed yesterday was a big eye opener for me. The issues concerning the Indian people were completely different from the issues I was worrying about on a daily basis. I was worrying about not having enough clothes in my closet while these people were worrying about not having enough food to eat. Not only that but there was an issue of "Child Labour" that really opened up my eyes. These childeren were working like slaves while we were enjoying our childhood without any worries. Disappointment, Shame, Embarrassement, were the only things that were left for me to feel. So after, I went to my room and took a look at all the clothes, shoes, accessories and all the other materialistic things that I possessed. There were things in my closet I hadn't even worn before and realized how selfish I was. I didn't realize how selfish I had gotten, but I had a feeling my selfishness came from certain surroundings. I, myself, got sucked into this hole of wanting more when I really had all that I needed. I think when you look at others, you see what you don't have and in turn want even more to live up to that status. I have learned a great lesson, I will always remind myself of how lucky blessed I am to have what I and to never think like that again. Anyways, I think everyone should be gratful for what they have and thank the Lord each day for what he has truly blessed us with. :)
